American Experience and Summer Program Reflection

短短十几天的UIndy生活自在又难忘。初到印第安纳波利斯,宁静、祥和是她带给我们的第一印象。了解一座城市的方法有很多，人——是最能直观反应城市特点的一个途径。我们想了很多词汇来形容印第安纳波利斯的人们——热情、友善、真诚、礼貌，但似乎都不能描述全面。
这次American experience summer program对我们三人而言来之不易，短短几天的本土生活也让我们感触颇多。首先要感谢所有在11天中出现在我们身边的人，谢谢Dr. Lan筹办的这次活动，谢谢大厨为我们准备的一日三餐，谢谢Butler夫妇能在国庆节招待我们home visit & picnic，谢谢Adele老师手绘的Books on Sale地图，谢谢学长学姐们的照顾，谢谢所有老师的授课。
虽然，严格意义上说，我们在印第安纳波利斯大学学习的时间只有短短地10天，但是，这十天过的很充实。我们了解到一些基本的美国文化，以及其和中国文化间的差异，还去农场体验了把种西红柿的乐趣。课堂上轻松的氛围，老师们幽默睿智的授课方式都让我们体会到美国式教学的独特魅力。丰富多彩的课外活动也让我们更加深入地了解到美国的风土人情。
我们会记住这短暂而美好的时光。美国人的热情好客，印第安纳波利斯湛蓝的天空，大家明朗的笑脸，生活中点滴的感动。怀抱着美好的友谊和难得的经历，我们一路前行。

Only ten days in Uindy is comfortable and memorable. Just arrived in Indianapolis, tranquility, harmony is the first impression that she brings us. There are many ways to understand a city, by human being—-is a way to reflect the urban’s characteristics directly. We think a lot of words to describe the people of Indianapolis, enthusiastically, friendly, sincerely, politely, but all these cannot describe comprehensively.

The American Experience Summer Program is hard-won to us, We have a lot of feelings to the local life. Firstly, we want to thank all the people around us in 11 days, thanks Dr. Lan, organized the event, thanks the school chef prepared the meals a day for us, thanks Mr. And Mrs. Butler entertained us home visit & picnic in the National Day, thanks Ms. Adele Tyson’s hand-painted map of Book on Sale, thanks the upperclassman’s care, thanks all the teachers.

Although, strictly speaking, we had only 10 days study in Uindy, We had a very fulfilling life. We understood some of the basic American culture, as well as the differences between China and America. And also went to the farm to have a fun with varieties of tomatoes. The relaxed atmosphere, teachers’ humor wise teaching, let us appreciate the unique charm of the teaching in the United States. A variety of extracurricular activities also let us understanding the customs of the United States more deeply..

We will remember this short but good time. The warm hospitality of the Americans, the blue sky in Indianapolis, the clear smiles, the little touched in lives. Embracing of a beautiful friendship and a rare experience,we look forward a brighter future.
