Dr. Leslie Lenkowsky is Professor of Public Affairs and Philanthropic Studies in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. He teaches courses on philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, social entrepreneurship and public policy on the Indiana University Bloomington campus. Dr. Lenkowsky returned to the university in January 2004 after stepping down as chief executive officer of the Corporation for National and Community Service, a position to which he was appointed by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the United States Senate in October 2001. From 1990 to 1997, he served as president of the Hudson Institute, an internationally renowned public policy research institution headquartered in Indianapolis. Among his other positions, Dr. Lenkowsky has served as president of the Institute for Educational Affairs, deputy director of the United States Information Agency, research fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and research director at the Smith Richardson Foundation. He is a fellow at the National Academy of Public Administration. He is also a regular contributor to The Chronicle of Philanthropy. A graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, Dr. Lenkowsky received his doctorate from Harvard University. He and his wife live in Bloomington, Indiana.
Melynne Klaus serves as the Director of the Christel DeHaan Family Foundation. Founded in 1997 by philanthropist Christel DeHaan, the Foundation supports arts and culture organizations in the Indianapolis community. Melynne previously worked at Women’s Fund of Central Indiana. Her professional experience also includes work with The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University during her tenure as a graduate student and with Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania as the Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations and Assistant Coach for the Women’s Volleyball and Men and Women’s Track and Field Teams. Klaus is a member of the Center on Philanthropy Board of Visitors and has assisted several organizations in various roles including the Center on Philanthropy Alumni Association, Indiana Grantmakers Alliance and the Indiana Achievement Awards. In addition to a master’s degree from the Center on Philanthropy, Klaus earned a MPA in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University in Indianapolis and completed master’s studies in International Philanthropy at the University of Bologna in Italy. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Art History from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where she was a Centennial Conference Champion in volleyball and the track and field events of javelin and discus. Melynne is married and has three children ages 5, 2 and 7 months.
Anthony Lorenz is the Vice Present of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer for WFYI. WFYI is the nineteenth largest public broadcasting company in the nation, broadcasting both television and radio. Mr. Lorenz directs all functions pertaining to financial and accounting management, facility acquisition and management, banking, capital budgeting, information systems management, governmental reporting, human resources, and general administration. Prior to work for WFYI, Mr. Lorenz was regional controller and divisional business manager for the fifth largest engineering firm in the nation and directed all directing all financial management functions for ten offices in the mid-west division with revenues exceeding $60 million dollars annually. Lorenz earned BA in Business Administration from University of Cincinnati and MBA from Murrary State Univeristy , Murray, KY.

Abbie Jung is a development professional with over 10 years of experience working with international aid and development agencies such as Medecins Sans Frontieres, Save the Children, International Rescue Committee, Population Services International and the World Health Organization. Most recently, she was the Chief Investment Officer at a Hong Kong-based venture philanthropy fund where she applied the venture philanthropy model toward sustainable development goals. She has a BA in Neurobiology from University of California at Berkeley and a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University. Abbie currently sits on the organizing committee for the 2012 Philanthropy in Asia Summit (National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre in Singapore) and the iOnPoverty Millennial Advisory Board.
